Proprietary axial flux motors for PHEV/EV and truck refrigeration units

Lightweight proprietary axial flux motors and generators for the automotive and mobility industries with 2x torque density per pound versus the competition. The OE team has developed the slimmest motor / generator available and it is uniquely configurable for plug-in hybrids, battery electric passenger cars, commercial vehicles and most forms of mobility.

Solving obstacles and speeding adoption of PHEV/EV, including passenger vehicles, fleets, electric transit buses, shuttles, and vocational vehicles.

Our patented and proprietary OE Axial Flux Motor reduces the weight of the typical vehicle drivetrain in half, and our ultra narrow packaging enables late-stage design-in and retrofit applications for Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and full Battery Electric (BEV) applications.

This modular, permanent magnet axial flux motor is unique for its magnetic power variable tuning features. Neodymium is one of several magnetic power options but in many cases, the Orbis Electric motor can use alternatives to expensive rare-earth materials that are subject to volatile pricing, political instability, environmental concerns, and supply chain issues. The OE Axial Flux Motor provides high-torque, high-efficiency capabilities and can be used as in-wheel motors for new PHEV and EVs, or easily-installed as conversions for existing ICE vehicles.

The unique modular design invites a multitude of configurations that are scalable to support both passenger vehicles and heavy-duty vocational applications where powertrain packaging space is limited and/or 4WD is desired, such as fleets, refuse trucks, transit buses, and shuttle buses.

Targeting significant cost savings for commercial vehicles supporting new regulatory standards in mobile refrigeration using innovative regenerative electric braking.

OE's proprietary axial flux motor when packaged as a generator powers mobile refrigeration systems in any class of commercial vehicle including; semi-trailers with electricity drawn entirely from deceleration and braking. In most cases, there's no longer a need to physically plug-in to the grid. With the OE axial flux motor as a generator, the battery that powers the electric refrigeration unit is replenished during braking and eliminates the use of diesel fuel in the refrigeration unit as well as toxic diesel exhaust.

Environmental sustainability and economic sustainability are hallmarks of the OE mobile refrigeration systems. Orbis Electric has unlocked unparalleled operating efficiency invites a significantly lower price than the competition making the transition from diesel to electric a smart business decision.
